Gas-X recall: Four lots pulled over chemical contamination risk
(NewsNation) — A popular over-the-counter gas relief medication is being pulled from shelves after a machine leak may have exposed some capsules to chemical coolant.
Haleon, the maker of Gas-X, announced a voluntary recall June 4 of four lots of Gas-X Extra Strength Softgels 125mg, according to a company announcement.
The affected bottles were distributed between April 13 and May 14. The company said a machine may have leaked a diluted propylene glycol-based coolant onto some capsules during packaging.
Eating the contaminated softgels could cause nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and diarrhea, the company said. Haleon said it has not received any reports of........
