Flashback: Trump said Bolton should 'go to jail' over 2020 book
The FBI's raid at the home of President Trump's former national security adviser John Bolton is drawing renewed attention to the president's past criticism of the former White House official.
Trump and Bolton have long clashed following their time working together in Trump's first term, and the president has previously called for the hawkish former adviser to face jail time over material included in his 2020 book, "The Room Where It Happened."
"He released massive amounts of classified, and confidential, but classified information. That's illegal and you go to jail for that," Trump said in a June 2020 interview with Fox News's John Roberts, calling Bolton's actions "treasonous."
