Tiger Woods involved in rollover crash in Florida, reports say
(NEXSTAR) – Legendary golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover crash in Jupiter Island, Florida, on Friday, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office told several media outlets.
His condition wasn’t immediately clear, however CBS 12 cited a source as saying there were no serious injuries.
An image taken at the scene of the accident showed the vehicle on its side, Nexstar’s WFLA reports.
Nexstar has reached out to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office for more information.
ESPN reports that police are investigating the incident, which happened just after 2 p.m. ET in the town where the golfer lives.
Woods, who suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon a year ago, also underwent his seventh back surgery in October, 2025.
For weeks there had been speculation about whether or not the multi-time Masters winner would be healthy enough to compete in August this year, a decision he was still mulling.
On Thursday, President Trump claimed during an interview with Fox News that “he will be there, but he won’t be playing in it.”
Woods was also involved in a serious car crash in the Palos Verdes area of California in 2021 that left him with multiple broken bones in his leg, which had to be surgically repaired.
Authorities ultimately ruled that excessive speed was the primary cause of the violent wreck, during which Woods’ SUV crashed into a tree and came to rest on its side at the bottom of an embankment.
