Almost two weeks after the Supreme Court allowed President Trump's birthright citizenship order to partially go into effect, a judge has blocked it in line with that order.
U.S. District Judge Joseph Laplante agreed to certify a class-action lawsuit on behalf of any children whose citizenship status would be at risk if Trump’s order went into effect. He said a written order is forthcoming.
