Missing scientist cases need ‘psychological autopsies’: Ex-FBI agents

(NewsNation) — The disappearances and deaths of at least 10 scientists, all with ties to sensitive government information, has sparked national attention, with President Trump now saying the White House is working with the FBI to review them.

As investigations get underway, retired FBI agents James Fitzgerald and Ray Carr tell NewsNation’s “Brian Entin Investigates” that it is important to distinguish between coincidence and coordinated targeting in these cases.

“I support this investigation, but I am not locked into at this point that it’s anything possibly more than a coincidence,” Fitzgerald said.

Carr says that while on the surface these cases sound alarming, the first question any investigator will ask is “Are these cases actually connected?”

“The challenge is whether the evidence of coordination targeting is a pattern or is it just coincidence,” he continued. “I just think that it’s something that needs to be done, because it needs to be quelled; otherwise,........
