Trump under no pressure to change ahead of midterms: Marc Short

Former White House staffer Marc Short on Wednesday said President Trump is under no pressure to change his agenda before the midterm elections.  

“I think he still has that control of the Republican Party, and I don’t think he really cares what the Senate does,” Short, who previously served as former Vice President Mike Pence’s chief of staff, said during an appearance on NewsNation’s “On Balance.”

“I think if he feels that the Senate doesn’t confirm Bill Pulte, he’s going to come up with somebody else,” he continued, referring to Trump’s decision to tap the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency to also be the acting director of national intelligence.
