13 fastest-growing jobs that pay over $100K

(NewsNation) — Doctors dominate the nation’s highest-paying occupations, but you don’t need an MD to make six figures in health care.

Nurse practitioners, physician assistants and medical and health services managers are expected to be among the fastest-growing jobs over the next decade that pay over $100k, according to the Labor Department.

The nation’s aging population is fueling demand for health care and social assistance workers, and the sector is expected to add more jobs than any other — about 2.2 million through 2035. That translates to roughly 37 percent of all new jobs.
