Raising Cane’s to open several new locations in August, with even more on the way

(NEXSTAR) – It’s been 30 years since Caniacs had their first chance at enjoying their chicken fingers with Cane’s Sauce and a side of Texas toast. Now, the fast food chicken chain Raising Cane’s is looking to bring its largely unchanged menu to even more locations. 

The first Raising Cane’s opened its doors in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1996. Since then, Cane’s has grown to have more than 950 locations across 44 states, the District of Columbia, and Guam. 

An additional seven locations are on track to open in August, with even more in the works.

“As we celebrate 30 years, we’re more excited than ever for what’s ahead and look forward to bringing Raising Cane’s to even more Communities in the years to come,” a spokesperson said in a statement provided to Nexstar. 

Cane’s is also reopening four recently remodeled locations this month. The first, reopening on August 12, is on Texas Avenue in College Station, Texas. Days later, on August 17, locations on Las Vegas Boulevard in Las Vegas and Nicholasville Road in Lexington, Kentucky, will reopen.
