Costco opening 5 new US warehouses soon: Here’s where

(NEXSTAR) – Costco is bringing its beloved $1.50 hot dog and soda combo, rotisserie chickens, and exclusive shopping hours to five cities in the next few weeks.

Costco CFO Gary Millerchip said last year that the warehouse chain aims to open between 25 and 30 new locations in the U.S. and internationally each year.

In January, Costco opened one such location in Roseville, California.

Another upcoming U.S. location is also set to open in California, with other warehouses appearing in Texas and Utah.

The first among them will be in Liberty Hill, Texas, north of Austin. While the gas station is open, Costco lists that the warehouse won’t open until Wednesday, March 11. A day later, Costco will open a new warehouse in Forney, Texas, just outside of Dallas.

In April, a Costco warehouse will open in New Braunfels, Texas. Construction began on the site nearly six months ago, according to local reporting – for comparison, that’s two to three times faster than it takes for the typical Buc-ee’s travel stop.

These new Texas locations will bring Costco’s footprint into the state to more than 45, the second-most of any state.

Maintaining the top spot is California, which will see a new Costco open in North Visalia next month, according to the company. An opening date has not yet been confirmed. Costco already has more than 130 warehouses in California and is preparing to open its first-ever stand-alone gas station there later this year.

St. George, Utah, will see its second Costco warehouse open on Friday, March 13. Its gas station is already open, the location’s online listing shows. It will mark the state’s 16th location.

Only two U.S. states are without a Costco location as of March 2026: West Virginia and Wyoming.

Meanwhile, a Costco Business Center is set to open in Winnipeg, Manitoba, next month. Winnipeg is already home to all three of Manitoba’s warehouses, the earliest of which opened in 1990.
