Comer Targets Biden-Era DEA Policy That Allowed Fentanyl Loads to Move Unimpeded
A House committee is investigating whether a Biden-era fentanyl walking program affected more states than New Mexico and if allowing the deadly drug to flow across the border violated federal law enforcement policy.
“We’ve talked to the whistleblower that said the Biden DEA allowed for fentanyl to hit the streets presumably to try to catch a bigger dealer, but anytime you let fentanyl near the streets, people die,” House Oversight Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., told the Daily Signal in an exclusive interview.
“We saw 100,000 a year die from fentanyl during the Biden years. Part of that was, obviously, from having a border that wasn’t secure. The other part, now we’re learning, is the DEA even allowed it,” Comer added.
