For years, the Democratic Party treated men like a museum treats a taxidermied woolly mammoth: historically important, dirty, and best observed from behind a velvet rope.

Then 2024 happened. Black, white, and Hispanic men shifted to voting Republican. So, instead of any real self-reflection, the Dems did what they do best: formed a secret committee.

The answer, according to $20 million worth of a Democrat consultant’s work, was just the wrong “messaging.” Not that young men feel invisible, think Democrats are weak, and do not believe the party has their back. They just need the Dems to message them more, to see it their way.
