Trash Talk War Between Americans, Europeans Erupts Ahead Of World Cup

The great trash-talk war between Americans and Europeans has begun ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup kickoff Thursday.

David Burge appeared to launch the first salvo by mocking U.K. fans who think NFL stadiums—where many World Cup games will be played this summer—are “soulless” and too corporate. He painted a rather amusing picture of what it’s like to watch a game at a lower-tier soccer stadium in England.
