The death of Anthony Bourdain remains one of the saddest modern tales of heartbreak and loss.

Hands down, Bourdain was the coolest dude alive. He lived a wild life as a chef in New York City, became a writer, and then hosted his own show on CNN in which he traveled the world, met interesting people, and ate amazing food.

Despite the incredible life, however, Bourdain committed suicide in 2018, at the age of 61. Apparently, Bourdain’s Italian girlfriend had cheated on him, and their subsequent breakup had become too much for him to bear. (RELATED: Joe Biden Commits The Cardinal Sin Of Breakups)

It’s a tragic tale that we have seen repeated, time and time again, for as long as humans have been around. Paul Skallas calls it the “asymmetry of breakups.” A man breaks up with a woman, or gets dumped, and then spirals, doing something very impulsive, including committing suicide.........
