Police and public agencies swapped their serious tone for clever pranks on April Fools’ Day, making some internet users do double-takes.
From mock “new policies” to tongue-in-cheek warnings about absurd infractions, officers leaned into the jokes, showing a lighter side that rarely shines through in their official reports. The April Fools’ posts were cleverly crafted and blurred the line between believable and ridiculous just enough to be entertaining.
