Dundee FC should have been getting positive news on their new stadium next week, if their planning permission in principle application was being considered by the council.

Camperdown should surely be top of the planning committee’s August 11 agenda.

The council can’t, with any credibility, put off a decision again – the application has been in their hands since February 2024.

And it brings, let’s remember, a significant fiscal boost to the city.

So, no excuses, it’s time a decision was made.

Strange, then, that the application doesn’t seem to be on the meeting agenda.

Still, there’s plenty time to get it on the list, isn’t there. I’m sure that will happen.
