Highmark Stadium's natural grass to be replaced before Bills' home opener

Areas of the Kentucky bluegrass inside Highmark Stadium got displaced often enough during its first month hosting football events that the Buffalo Bills will re-sod the entire field this week to prepare for three consecutive home games in September.

A clump of grass sits on the field after a play during the Bills' preseason win over the Panthers on Aug. 15 at Highmark Stadium. After just two games and a scrimmage at the new $2.2 billion venue, the grass will be replaced this week.
