In my last column I wrote about the Defence Roundtable I arranged in Parliament to discuss the changes to Procurement that would be needed to ensure our Defence industry can compete with competitors and to make sure our armed forces are well equipped.

However, my role as Business Champion for Defence and Net Zero means that whilst I am focussed on reporting the concerns of the Defence industry as one aspect of the UK’s security, this must sit alongside our energy security, which can only be achieved by reducing our reliance on Petro-States and Authoritarians.
