Swindon Town have plenty of decisions to make ahead of announcing their retained list, so what should they be weighing up with these contract calls?

We are once again staring down a summer of transfers and decisions at Swindon, so we will be returning to the fictitious universe in which I am the Director of Football and will be in charge of putting together this squad.

Town presently have 13 players signed on for next season, plus four academy players have had their third-year options taken up, and whilst they will not definitely have an impact on the starting line-up next season, Ian Holloway’s desired squad size of 24 and willingness to use young players does factor into the decisions to avoid a bulky squad.
