As the year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on all we’ve achieved in Swindon in 2025.

It’s been another remarkable 12 months for the town, shaped by partnership, hope, and a shared determination to build a fairer, greener, and stronger community for everyone.

One of the highlights has been the opening of The Base, our wonderful new youth centre in Park North.

Back in March, following a £3.8 million investment, this vibrant space opened its doors to young people aged 11 to 18—up to 25 for those with additional needs.

Designed by and for our youth, with creativity, life-skills, and mental health at its heart, The Base is already buzzing with energy and purpose.
