I’m really pleased that Swindon Borough Council has been shortlisted for a Most-Improved Council award by the Local Government Chronicle.

As a Labour administration, we have worked really hard since we took control of the council in May 2023 to sort out some of the problems we inherited, and to really focus the council on becoming a citizen focused organisation that delivers for Swindon and its people.

We aren’t sitting here saying everything is perfect. We have loads of opinions and ideas about how we could improve the town, and we know residents do too.

We will continue to work hard to drive the change and listen to residents concerns and ideas, but it is great to get some external,........
