Line of Duty fans have been thrust into a frenzy as three favourites of the beloved BBC police drama have reunited, which some suspect is a tease for series seven.

Martin Compston who plays the role of Steve Arnott posted a picture of himself with fellow castmates Vicky McClure (Kate Fleming) and Adrian Dunbar (Ted Hastings) to his 567k Instagram followers.

One of the nation’s favourite trio were seen enjoying a drink at a pub for St Patrick’s Day and now “excited” fans have been left wondering if they were “hiding” a new script.

Martin’s caption alongside the picture of the three stars said: “St paddy’s day with one of Erin’s finest the gaffer. Vicky’s here as well.”
