A Coronation Street star is set to make a big return to the soap, according to reports, and fans won't have to wait long.

Dame Maureen Lipman is known for playing Evelyn Plummer, the grandmother of Alan Halsall's Tyrone Dobbs, on the ITV soap.

Now, the 79-year-old is heading back to Weatherfield, months after being written out.

And according to reports, her return to the show will be within weeks.
