An iconic EastEnders star has been sensationally axed from the popular BBC soap opera.

Jamie Borthwick, who has played the role of Jay Brown since 2006, is one of the longest-serving cast members still around.

Beyond EastEnders, the 31-year-old famously took part in the 2024 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
