At NBA All-Star Weekend, Klay Thompson lost to one of his biggest fans

Many Warriors fans surely have fond memories of David Lee, the former All-Star and member of Golden State’s 2015 title-winning team.
Most assuredly don’t know David Lee, a 25-year-old former high school varsity basketball player from Fremont. But Klay Thompson now knows both, thanks to the latter Lee stealing the spotlight at Thompson’s NBA All-Star event on Treasure Island this past weekend.

The Fremont-born Lee bested Thompson on Saturday in a round of the playground favorite game, knockout. For those unaware, the point of knockout is to make your shot before the player in front of you makes theirs; if you do that, you “knock them out.” The game continues until there are only two competitors left, and eventually, one player knocks out the other.
