Guy Fieri to host a Super Bowl party for the ages...in Daly City

Guy Fieri is doing one of the most on-brand things ever: He’s hosting a massive, free Super Bowl tailgate for more than 10,000 people at the Cow Palace in Daly City. 

It’s not the first time America’s favorite spiky-haired chef has done this. He’s a huge sports fan and has hosted three such Super Bowl tailgate events since 2023 — in Phoenix, Las Vegas and New Orleans. And judging by on-the-ground reporting in those cities, things can get pretty wild. There’s always a ton of booze, along with Guy Fieri look-a-likes and hoards of fans trying to get a glimpse of the man himself, who will no doubt be high-fiving kids and taking swigs from his own tequila.

During a recent video interview, the “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” host recalled to SFGATE how amazed he was by the turnout for the first Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate in Phoenix for Super Bowl 57.

“We drive in and there’s six people wide, a mile long,” he said. “I call my team, and I’m like, ‘Are you gonna open the gates? I see all these people standing out in the heat.’” They told him the gates had been open for an hour. “It was really amazing. I wish everybody could go to the Super Bowl, but this is going to be a way for them to see it.”

The fourth annual Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Tailgate is coming to the Bay Area for the Super Bowl.

Not to watch the game, rather, but to experience the camaraderie, or what Fieri called in our interview “that Super Bowl energy.” The event is slated to take........
