Exclusive: Aramark tells Yosemite staff it's axing most of their housing rights

Aramark, the concessionaire that operates Yosemite National Park’s restaurants, gift shops and lodging facilities, recently notified employees in the park of a new policy that puts their housing stability in serious jeopardy.
The notice was pinned on the front doors of employee housing units earlier this month, according to an Aramark employee at the park who was granted anonymity in accordance with Hearst’s ethics policy.

In the notice that was reviewed by SFGATE, Aramark grants employees use of housing units by means of a “housing license agreement.” The policy stipulates that if employees violate the agreement in any way, Aramark has the right to revoke their occupancy rights at any time — thereby evicting employees from their homes without prior notice.
“Everyone’s upset. It’s basically like a big f—k you,” the employee said.
