Teresa Peroni was last seen walking into a forested area with her boyfriend in early July 1983.

Authorities in Chico arrested a man in connection with the 1983 disappearance and killing of his girlfriend, 27-year-old Teresa Peroni. The Josephine County Sheriff’s Office of Oregon reopened the case last year after 41 years without an arrest.

Peroni was last seen on or around July 4, 1983, walking into a wooded area with her boyfriend along Illinois River Road in Josephine County, Oregon. Peroni and her boyfriend, 29-year-old Mark Sanfratello, were attending a party. The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System said Peroni and Sanfratello were arguing before making their way into the trees.
