Pioneering SF ice cream shop to close flagship store

One of San Francisco’s most popular ice cream businesses is set to close its flagship store in the Mission.
Humphry Slocombe, a pioneering scoop shop famous for inventive flavors like the boozy Secret Breakfast made with real bourbon, announced that its original location at 2790 Harrison St. is slated to close Oct. 30. The news was first reported by the San Francisco Chronicle. (The Chronicle and SFGATE are both owned by Hearst but have separate newsrooms.)
