Tahoe's fanciest hotel gets $20M refresh with wildflower-studded chandelier
The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe is located near the slopes of the Northstar California Resort.
The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, the region’s first five-star hotel, just announced the completion of a major renovation. The two-year project updated the resort’s 170 rooms and suites, redesigned its dining establishments and the entrance area, and improved its fitness and recreation facilities.
Announcing the completed renovation, general manager Colin Perry called this moment a “new era” for the luxury hotel, which has a five-diamond rating from the American Automobile Association, the highest rating awarded by the travel group. Designers took inspiration from the hotel’s setting, surrounded by ponderosa and sugar pine trees near the slopes of the Northstar California Resort.
