Troubled SF corridor sees 218 arrests in one month, police say

The San Francisco Police Department announced it made over 200 arrests on one small stretch of the city over the course of the last month.
In 30 days, 218 arrests were made on the Sixth Street corridor just south of Market Street, SFPD said in a Monday press release. The vast majority — 124 people — were arrested on drug charges. In addition, 36 people were arrested for outstanding warrants, 18 for assault and 40 for other crimes.
