Tech founder sells Lake Tahoe home for $47.5 million

A tech CEO sold one of the most expensive homes in Lake Tahoe last month for $47.5 million — but that doesn’t mean the sale turned a profit.
The waterfront estate on Incline Village’s Lakeshore Boulevard was sold for the same price Blockchains founder and CEO Jeffrey Berns purchased it, almost three years ago in November 2021.
Berns listed the 1.4-acre property earlier this summer for $50 million before it sold on Aug. 20 for $47.5 million, according to Washoe County records.

The nearly 12,000-square-foot residence has four bedrooms, a home theater, a wine cellar and a three-car garage, according to the Wall Street Journal. An idyllic creek runs through the 1.4-acre property. The listing........
