More than $1,200 worth of stolen meat from a Cupertino Safeway.

Two people were arrested after they allegedly shoplifted more than $1,200 worth of meat from a Cupertino Safeway last week, officials said.

On Dec. 28, 2024, just before 11 a.m., the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office received a report of theft from a store on Homestead Road, Brooks Jarosz, a spokesperson for the office, told SFGATE.

The Safeway manager told authorities that an employee saw two men load large amounts of meat into bags and head for the exit doors, Jarosz said. The manager followed the men outside and saw them get........
