Record high temperatures expected in the Bay Area

Parts of the Bay Area could see record-high temperatures for February on Wednesday on what is expected to be the hottest day of the week.
Scott Rowe, a senior service hydrologist and meteorologist at the National Weather Service, said the reason for the warm weather is a ridge of high pressure that has stubbornly sat above the Bay Area for weeks.

“Overall, this high-pressure system has deflected any precipitation chances across the area. [It] has also resulted in warm air throughout much of the Bay Area in California,”........
