East Bay city to get movie spotlight from new Hall of Famer

East Bay native and longtime MLB pitcher CC Sabathia had quite the momentous three days last week, going from being inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on Tuesday to unveiling a movie being made about his hometown of Vallejo and his upbringing on Thursday.
Sabathia is the inspiration behind the movie named after his hometown, “Vallejo,” which GTG Studios unveiled for the first time Thursday. According to the news release, the film will set the groundwork for Sabathia’s life story by focusing on the 1989 North Vallejo Little League All-Star team. Vallejo rapper LaRussell is set to star in the film, which is still in the early stages of development.
