Future Hall of Famer reportedly could be cut by 49ers in offseason

Left tackle Trent Williams is solidly on the path to the Hall of Fame. Whether he gets there as a member of the San Francisco 49ers is, shockingly, an open question, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
It’s been an eventful week for the 37-year-old Williams. On Monday, Williams was brilliant as the Niners crushed the Colts, then joined ESPN host Scott Van Pelt on “SportsCenter’s” live set from Indianapolis after the game. Hundreds of 49ers fans stuck around in the stadium for the show and showered Williams with cheers and chants of “One more year!”

That got Van Pelt to ask Williams about the chant’s message, which led the offensive lineman to simply reply: “I’m nowhere near done. So yeah, we’ve got a few more years.” That response, with Van Pelt’s........
