Bodkin: United Way Sarnia-Lambton campaign in full force
There are certain times of year when you can feel Sarnia-Lambton coming together. This is one of those times.
The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton campaign is in full force, and momentum is building quickly. The campaign kicked off in late August with the Sarnia Sting Black and White Game. This week, nearly 100 volunteers fanned out across 17 Lambton County job sites for the annual Day of Caring, putting their time and talents to work for local organizations and residents.

Workplace campaigns are kicking into gear. Imperial recently held its campaign kickoff luncheon, raising nearly $5,000 for United Way. Keyera held a food truck luncheon this week to launch its campaign, and Reliance Home Comfort also has kicked things off. New this year, Borouge International, formerly Nova, will get into the spirit with pancake breakfast events at its five local sites in late September and October.
These workplace campaigns are always one of the most visible signs that the annual United Way campaign is underway.........
