Those in charge need to resolve to fix society's woes

For better or worse?

Better is a worthy ideal but often when one segment of society gains another loses.

Who knows what the New Year will bring. Each of us has hopes, dreams, goals but no one can be sure any of it will happen. There are things that can be done to solve problems we all face in our lives. We can prepare for some eventualities by saving money instead of spending everything we have. We can stay healthier longer by being active and involved. We can stay close to family and maintain friendships by showing love. We can do our part by reusing, recycling and throwing away less, shopping local and supporting our communities, looking after and supporting each other, following the rules and obeying the law.

I don’t make New Year’s resolutions but this year I have resolved to eat everything in my freezers before buying more, starting with the single servings of soup, stew, leftovers, etc.

Wouldn’t it be great if the really smart people, along with those with all the money and power, resolve to correct societal problems instead........
