Dejonghe: Heritage buildings are worth saving

The idea of tearing down part of our inheritance, in favour of new, modern seems somehow disrespectful. They should be preserved, honoured and used to educate and instill Canadian values and also be updated as necessary, maintained and used to house offices, organizations and facilities which benefits of all of us. We seem to be able to find money for lots of things many of us find less than worthy.
I know the common thought is building new........
