Brown: United Way Sarnia-Lambton school board campaigns set to begin
The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton campaign has reached 43 per cent of its $1,487,000 goal.
The United Way of Sarnia-Lambton campaign has reached 43 per cent of its $1,487,000 goal.
“We are delighted to be at $640,000, on pace with last year’s campaign progress,” said Mike Edgar, the campaign chairperson.
“We have just commenced the St. Clair Catholic District school board campaign,” he said, and expect to begin fundraising with the Lambton Kent District school board in November.
Edgar said the local boards have a long history of support and the hope is to build on the momentum from last year.
“I think the local educators and school board staff see the value of the United Way-funded programs as much as any other sector in our community,” he said.
