Brown: United Way of Sarnia-Lambton campaign expected to pull ahead soon
The United Way campaign is now running on all cylinders and has reached 40 per cent of the $4.87 million goal.

“We are in a dead heat with last year at this time,” said campaign chair Mike Edgar. “For most of the year, we were slightly ahead of last year’s pace, but I think in the next week or two, we should pull ahead again with Nova Chemicals just kicking off their campaign,” he said.
Nova Chemicals commenced their employee campaign with their annual golf tournament, which sold out on the first day. Nova Chemicals is the area’s largest employee campaign with a matching corporate donation, Edgar said. “Nova will match the retiree donations that come into the United Way office as a result of letters that are mailed to them asking for their financial support,” he said.
