The 2023 goal has been reached.

“I am pleased to report that we have reached $1,425,000, almost 102 per cent of our $1.4-million goal,” said Vicky Ducharme, the 2023 United Way campaign chairperson.

“We recognize that with inflation and high-interest rates, a lot of people and families have increased costs, but over 2,200 people, companies, and local businesses stepped up to support our community through the United Way, and I can not thank each donor enough for their support,” she said.

Ducharme said she and the United Way were feeling optimistic about the outcome of the campaign. “When a couple of crucial donors (who wish to remain anonoymous) came into the office near the end of the month and made their contributions known, we knew that was enough to put us over the top,”........
