The Stratford-Perth Archives has digitized thousands of pages during the past three years

The Stratford-Perth Archives is excited to announce a new way to access local historical newspapers.

As of Sept. 14, you will be able to browse and keyword search more than 8,000 issues of 17 different Perth County newspapers via the archives’ digitized newspaper database.

In 2021, assistant archivist Jennifer Georgiou proposed this project and, under her guidance, the idea has grown into a greatly improved and accessible way to access newspapers at the Stratford-Perth Archives. Over the past three summers, an amazing group of students has digitized newspapers from the archives’ collections, along with assisting researchers and helping with other projects.
