Rethinking Relationships: The Emergent Love Model

Despite our collective fascination with love, many modern relationships are marked by insecurity, disconnection, or quiet dissatisfaction. Far too many people feel lost in love—or worse, wounded by it.

After two decades of working with individuals and couples across more than 40 countries, I came to believe that much of this suffering stems not from a lack of effort, but from a fundamental confusion about what love truly is—and where that effort is best directed. I also came to believe that love is not a privilege for the lucky few. Everyone deserves to experience the kind of loving relationships they both desire and deserve.

To explore this further, I conducted two substantial studies: a 10-year retrospective analysis of 312 couples I worked with clinically, and a large-scale validation study involving 159 couples and 345 individuals, in collaboration with Dr. Pejman Azarmina of Thinkocrats.
