Apps Sparking Real Conversations and Adult Connections

Recently, while traveling in Boston from New York, I had a free evening and decided to try something new: an app‑based dinner event. The app, Timeleft, matched me with a group of strangers for dinner. What unfolded was a mix of delightful conversations, logistical hiccups, and insights into how technology is reshaping the way adults connect. As someone who is still in repair mode post-divorce, I am doing my best to build a new community and fill my cup with peers who might appreciate my quick academic personality. Social connections and friendships, even short in length, can have robust effects on our self-esteem, well-being, and longevity. Friendly interactions are good for health!
