VOICE OF THE PEOPLE: Consider implications of aging population in N.S.
As a frequent flyer to the parking sites at the Victoria General and Dartmouth General hospitals, it is nice to have the parking fees eliminated.
But, I have a question: Are they going to increase the handicap spots as the volume of vehicles trying to get close to the entrances increases?
If not, it will be difficult for handicapped people to get a close spot or even a spot.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: No one making decisions in the Health Department is taking into consideration the fact that the population is getting older and there are all kinds of ramifications that come with it. Mobility issues are among them.
