Counting two interim office holders, the agency tasked with delivering health care to Islanders is now looking for its fifth CEO since 2024. That’s hardly enough time to get business cards done up.

During that same period, two human resource executives have also departed. Tracy Wolbaum is suing the agency for breach of contract following her departure in 2024. No permanent replacement has been hired but Maura MacKinnon, who took the job on an interim basis, is also now gone. She was contracted in 2024 through an executive recruiting firm at a cost of $24,000 a month, which increased to $26,000 last February.
