Pam Mood has a new best friend. It’s the BLOCK button and she has told the public that she intends to use it.

Mood is a force to be reckoned with in Yarmouth, N.S. She has been the town’s mayor for the past 14 years. According to a friend who lives there, she remains a highly popular one.

A graduate in political science from Acadia University, she spent 18 years as a civilian member of the RCMP, got her master of divinity and opened Mood Consulting. Married with three children, she also sits on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ board of directors.

Mood has no time for nonsense. Or ugliness.

A couple of weeks ago she posted a letter on her website saying that she has made a decision — “one that I should have made 14 years ago when I began.

“BLOCK is my new best friend. Sad yet necessary,”........
