Asphodel Norwood’s Medical Building marks its two-year anniversary this year. The facility officially opened on May 11, 2024. The public was invited to celebrate the occasion with a special barbecue and open house this past Saturday.

The Norwood Lions Club provided its grills, expertly cooking up a variety of burgers and hot dogs. A bouncy castle was provided for the kids, unfortunately Mother Nature’s rainy weather made it a little unpopular. There was also a number of prizes and freebies available.

While the township continues to be the main tenant providing state of the art facilities for the village’s team of doctors, the building is also home to a comprehensive range of other health care services. Paul’s Norwood Pharmasave, Kawartha Audiology, FreeFlo Physiotherapy and Norwood Dental are all celebrating two years in the Spruce Street campus.

During the festivities the Township of Asphodel-Norwood’s Business Advisory Committee took the opportunity to welcome two new businesses to the village hosting official........
