St. James Anglican Church steps up to help
St. James Anglican Church, located north of Fowlers Corners, recognized our area had many needs. Through prayer, conversation and careful discernment, the newly formed Outreach Team came up with a plan to give meaningful support where it is urgently needed. The goal was to help a wide range of ages and needs in the City and County of Peterborough and the City of Kawartha Lakes. To that end, donations were made to the following causes:
Scott Young Public School playground fund.
A Place Called Home in Lindsay to support families experiencing homelessness.
Alongside Hope supporting clean water access for Indigenous communities.
Community Care Peterborough for programming.
BGC Lindsay, Warehouse Youth Centre, to support the drop in programming for youth grades 6 to 12.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes for programming.
Congratulations to the congregation of St. James for their hard work and generosity.
