Bobrovsky gives the Leafs exactly what they need

On July 1 during the opening of the NHL’s unrestricted free agency, the Toronto Maple Leafs signed veteran netminder Sergei Bobrovsky to a three-year contract, with an average annual value of US$7 million. 

Like any topic in life, some will criticize newly appointed general manager John Chayka for inking Bobrovsky to the three-year deal, while others will praise him for adding the Russian puckstopper. 

Critics will claim the deal was a poor decision, as the aging goaltender will soon be 38, and his best years are more than likely behind him. They will critique the term of the contract, and point out that “Bob” is coming off the worst statistical season in his 16-year NHL career, where he posted a dismal .877 save percentage. 

While it is easy to be consumed by negativity, I enjoy finding positivity in different situations, such as the news of Bobrovsky joining the Leafs on........
